A. Understanding Procedure Text Procedure text is a type of text that contains the steps in doing something. There are various types of this text, including cooking a food or drink, then procedures for doing or operating something, and also how to make or create objects, and many others. The function of procedure text is to show how to do something, by using an explanation in the steps to do it.

a. Example of procedure text How do I get somewhere? How can we go somewhere. How do I do something? Which means how we can do something. Recipes That is how we can cook something. Manuals How we can operate or run something. b. Procedure text must be written in the following format: Using the simple present tense, please read our article entitled "Understanding the Simple Present Tense and its Formula" And also use imperative sentences or command sentences. For example (turn on, cut off, do not mix, etc) Also add numbering like the example (first, second, third, .... finally) Must use sequence conjunctions (next, then, while, etc) Using action verbs (put, vut, turn, etc) And don't forget to use adjectives (carefully, slowly, hardly, etc) c. Procedure text has a different structure from other texts, namely by: 1. Goals It is located in the title of the procedure text, for example: How to make Scramble Egg 2.Ingredients / materials There are several lists of tools and materials that can be used to do something. For example, materials to make instant noodle: stove, pan, bowl, fork, etc 3. Steps / method This is the most important part, which is the part that contains the steps or methods of doing something. for example: First grab an egg and crack it
